Kantara-fame B Ajaneesh Loknath has been signed as the composer for the upcoming Antony Varghese-starrer Kattalan. This is his second Malayalam film after debuting with Jiyen Krishnakumar's upcoming film, scripted by Murali Gopy.

Ajaneesh is predominantly known for his Kannada films like Akira, Kirik Party, Bell Bottom, Avane Srimannarayana, Vikrant Rona, and Bagheera. His work in Tamil films like Kurangu Bommai, Nimir, and Maharaja has also gained attention. Currently, he is working on Rishab Shetty's much-awaited Kantara sequel.

Kattalan, directed by debutant Paul George, is billed as a high-octane action-thriller. The makers had earlier released a title announcement poster, featuring a violent confrontation between a man and an elephant. Marco producer Shareef Muhammed is backing the film, planned to be released in Malayalam, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada.

Antony, meanwhile, is shooting for I'm Game, which also stars Dulquer Salmaan. The film, directed by RDX-fame Nahas Hidhayath, is billed as a sports thriller.
