Malayalam cinema icons Mammootty and Mohanlal have publicly expressed their support for the Indian Armed Forces following Operation Sindoor, India’s precision military response to the deadly terror attack in Pahalgam.

On Wednesday, Mammootty shared a message on his official social media accounts, stating: “Salute to our real heroes! #OperationSindoor proved again, when the nation calls, the #IndianArmy answers. Thank you for saving lives and restoring hope. You make the nation proud. Jai Hind!”

Meanwhile, Mohanlal updated the cover photos on his Facebook and X (formerly Twitter) handles with official artwork related to the operation, which targeted terror infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-administered Kashmir. Later that day, he also posted a statement through his social media handles, saying: “We wore Sindoor not just as a tradition, but as a symbol of our unwavering resolve. Challenge us and we will rise, fearless and stronger than ever. Saluting every brave heart of the Indian Army, Navy, Air Force, and BSF. Your courage fuels our pride. Jai Hind! 🇮🇳 #OperationSindoor”

Operation Sindoor was launched in retaliation for the April 22 Pahalgam massacre, where 26 civilians were killed in a terrorist ambush. The Indian Air Force, in a coordinated strike with the Army and Navy, carried out 24 missile strikes across nine key locations. The operation has been hailed domestically as a decisive show of strength against cross-border terrorism.
