Rajesh Madhavan-starrer Dheeran gets a release date

Dheeran marks the directorial debut of Devadath Shaji, who co-wrote the Mammootty-starrer Bheeshma Parvam

The makers of Dheeran have announced that the film will hit theatres on July 4. The update was provided along with the release of character introduction videos for Vineeth’s Abubackar Haji and Manoj K Jayan’s Bombay Aruvi. It marks the directorial debut of Devadath Shaji, who co-wrote the Mammootty-starrer Bheeshma Parvam.

Dheeran also stars Jagadish, Sudheesh, Ashokan, Sidharth Bharathan, Abhiram Radhakrishnan, Indumathy Manikandan, Shabareesh Varma, Srikrishna Dayal, and Aswathy Manoharan. The film's technical crew includes cinematographer Harikrishnan Lohithadas, son of the late filmmaker Lohithadas; editor Finn George Varghese; and composer Mujeeb Majeed, who has composed for Kishkindha Kaandam. Dheeran is produced by Lakshmi Warrier and Ganesh Menon under the Cheers Entertainments banner, known for backing films such as Vikrithi, Jan.E.Man, Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey and Falimy.

Meanwhile, Rajesh is also making his directorial debut with Pennum Porattum, which wrapped shooting in October 2024. Backed by Santhosh T Kuruvilla under the STK Frames banner, the comedy-drama features a cast of mostly newcomers, including several locals.
