Following the grand launch event in Bangalore on Monday, the makers of VK Prakash’s upcoming directorial Bangalore High unveiled its first look on Tuesday. The poster features Shine Tom Chacko in a hoodie and thick-framed glasses, pointing directly at the viewer, with the words 'Say No to Drugs' in colourful text. It sets the tone for the film, which is described as a socially relevant drama that underlines the dangers of substance abuse among the youth.
Interestingly, this anti-drug film's announcement comes months after Shine was arrested under the NDPS Act following a hotel raid in Kochi. He was later admitted to a government-run de-addiction centre under a rehabilitation programme. Speaking openly about his struggles with substance abuse, Shine recently said that he is now on the path of recovery and finds himself more rejuvenated after diverting his focus to work and sports. The actor was last seen in Soothravakyam, in which he played a policeman.
Bangalore High, produced by Dr Roy CJ's Confident Group, also stars Siju Wilson and Anoop Menon in the lead cast. Ashwin Jose, Baburaj, Shanvi Srivastava and Iswarya Menon will be seen in other major roles. The film is scripted by Ashish Rajani Unnikrishnan, who debuted in 2024 with VK Prakash's previous film Paalum Pazhavum, featuring Meera Jasmine in the lead.
The technical crew of Bangalore High includes cinematographer Manoj Kumar Khatoi, editor Nidhin Raj Arol and music director Sam CS.
