Nagarjuna says society is split in two and is divided between rich and poor in the first glimpse of King100. The film, written and directed by Ra Karthik, marks the milestone century film for the actor.
The glimpse features a voiceover by Nagarjuna, who says that society labels the poor as losers while the wealthy are celebrated as kings. We then see news of a scam along with Nagarjuna's photo, creating curiosity about his character being grey in the film. The glimpse also shows him in a poor avatar, and one particular shot features him holding the baby, revealing very little about what the film could revolve around.
Nagarjuna's production house, Annapurna Studios, is backing this prestigious project, which marks Ra Karthik's Telugu debut. He has previously helmed Nitham Oru Vaanam and Made in Korea. Tabu is playing a pivotal role in the movie. Her reunion with Nagarjuna, after their memorable collaborations in classics such as Ninne Pelladatha and Aavida Maa Aavide, has generated tremendous buzz.
According to a source, the story revolves around two friends, and Tamil actor Ravindra Vijay is playing as Nagarjuna’s friend in this film. Recently, the shooting happened in Mysuru, where another senior actor, Sai Kumar, also joined the shoot. Sushmitha Bhat also stars in the film.
On the technical front, the film will feature cinematography by Raja Mahadhevan, editing by Navin Nooli, production design by Sathees Kumar N, and music composed by Devi Sri Prasad. The film's title, plot, and genre are yet to be announced by the makers. Along with the glimpse, the makers also announced that the film will open in theatres on December 24.
