The makers of debutant Faizal Faziludeen's Maine Pyar Kiya have unveiled a new poster featuring the lead pair on Sunday, along with the announcement that the film will be released in July. However, an exact release date has not yet been specified. Billed as a romantic comedy with thriller elements, it stars Hridhu Haroon, best known for his role in the internationally acclaimed film All We Imagine As Light, alongside Preity Mukhundhan, who makes her Malayalam debut. Preity rose to prominence through the popular music video 'Aasa Kooda' and the Tamil film Star.

Scripted by Faziludeen in collaboration with Blk Fzl, Maine Pyar Kiya's cast also includes Askar Ali (brother of actor Asif Ali), filmmaker Jeo Baby, veterans Jagadish and Janardanan, Bibin Perumbilli, Aavesham-fame Midhutty, and social media personalities Arjyou and Sreekanth Vettiyar. Tamil actors Redin Kingsley, Boxer Dheena, and Mime Gopi also play pivotal roles. On the technical front, the film has cinematography by Don Paul P, editing by Kannan Mohan, music composed by Ajmal Hasbulla and sound design by Renganaath Ravee. It is produced by Sanju Unnithan under the banner of Spire Productions, which previously backed the Althaf Salim–Anarkali Marikar starrer Mandakini.

Hridhu, last seen in Mura, also has the critically acclaimed Tamil film Bad Girl awaiting release.

Preity’s upcoming slate also includes the Tamil film Idhayam Murali, in which she stars alongside Atharvaa and Kayadu Lohar.
