On Wednesday, Malayalam composer Sushin Shyam married Uthara Krishna in a private ceremony at a temple, attended by close family and friends. Uthara, who previously worked as an assistant director on Anwar Rasheed’s Trance, is a relative of actors Jayaram and Parvathy Jayaram.

The couple's relationship became known to the public when Sushin introduced Uthara during Jayaram's daughter Malavika Jayaram's wedding. Sushin and Uthara's wedding brought together familiar faces from the Malayalam film industry, including Fahadh Faasil, Nazriya Nazim, Deepak Dev, Mahesh Narayanan, and Anwar Rasheed.

Sushin began his career under the mentorship of music director Deepak Dev before debuting as an independent composer with the Shane Nigam-starrer Kismath (2016). Since then, he has composed several notable soundtracks, including the Kerala State Award-winning Kumbalangi Nights, as well as Varathan, Minnal Murali, Bheeshma Parvam and Romancham. While currently at the peak of his career with 2024 releases such as Manjummel Boys, Aavesham and Ullozhukku, Sushin has hinted at a possible break following his latest project Bougainvillea.
