Earlier, we reported that Mohanlal is set to reunite with director Sathyan Anthikad for a new project titled Hridayapoorvam, produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner of Aashirvad Cinemas. In the latest development, Aishwarya Lekshmi and Sangita have joined the cast. The director shared this update through a social media post on Thursday, also mentioning that the film’s songs are currently being composed, while shooting is scheduled to commence in December. The story is penned by the director himself, with the screenplay and dialogues written by debutant Sonu TP, known for his short film Night Call (2022).

Hridayapoorvam will have Sufiyum Sujathayum-fame Anu Moothedath as the cinematographer, with Aadujeevitham production designer Prasanth Madhav as its art director. The music is composed by Justin Prabhakaran, who previously worked on Akhil Sathyan's Pachuvum Athbutha Vilakkum (2023).

Aishwarya's upcoming slate in Malayalam also includes Hello Mummy, opposite Sharaf U Dheen. Additionally, the Mayaanadhi actor is part of Mani Ratnam-Kamal Haasan's Tamil film Thug Life and Sai Dharam Tej's tentatively titled Telugu film SDT 18.

Sangita, best known for her titular role in Sreenivasan's 1998 film Chinthavishtayaya Shyamala, was last seen in Tinu Pappachan's Chaaver (2023). Up next, the actor has Parakramam and Anand Sreebala in the pipeline.
