Bazooka, Mammootty's upcoming film with debutant Deeno Dennis was launched on Wednesday. The actor has now joined the sets in Kochi. Along with him, the film also stars Tamil filmmaker Gautham Vasudev Menon and Shine Tom Chacko in prominent roles. Sidharth Bharathan, Ishwarya Menon, Divya Pillai, Bhama Arun and Gayathri Iyer are others in the cast.

Deeno Dennis is the son of veteran scenarist Kaloor Dennis, a frequent collaborator with Mammootty. Deeno has also scripted his debut film, which is said to be an experimental thriller. Music director Midhun Mukundan and cinematographer Nimish Ravi, who was part of Mammootty's recent hit, Rorschach, have been retained. Nishad Yusuf is the editor.

Bazooka is produced by Dolwin Kuriakose, Jinu V Abraham, Vikram Mehra, Sidharth, and Anand Kumar under the banners of Theatre of Dreams and Yoodlee Films. The film's shoot was originally planned to begin by April-end but had to be pushed after Mammootty's mother passed away.

Apart from Bazooka, the veteran star also has Kaathal and Kannur Squad in the line-up.
