Actor Unni Mukundan to collaborate with director Ranjith Sankar for an upcoming Malayalam film titled Jai Ganesh. The filmmaker announced the news through his social media handles. It has also been learned that the duo will be co-producing the film under the banner Dreams N Beyond and Unni Mukundan Films, and the filming will commence on November 1. 

Sharing the news, Ranjith wrote on his Instagram handle, " After I created "JaiGanesh," I was searching for an actor. Unni, who hadn't been shooting anything for 7 months after "Malikappuram," was patiently waiting for the right script. We discussed "JaiGanesh," he got the script, and I found my actor. We are even co-producing this project, and it's bound to be an exciting and challenging journey. Here's to hoping we enjoy every step of the way!"  

Meanwhile, Unni Mukundan was last seen in the colossal hit  Malikappuram. The actor has a slew of projects lined up, including Kadhikan, Gandharva jr, Mindiyum Paranjum, Yemaha and Nedulan. Furthermore, the actor will be teaming up with director Vinayan for the second part of the 2006 film Athbhutha Dweepu.

On the other hand, Ranjith Sankar, who has many hits in his directorial credit, including Punyalan Agarbattis (2013), Varsham (2014), Su.. Su... Sudhi Vathmeekam was last helmed 4 Years, starring Priya Prakash Varrier and Sarjano Khalid.
