Earlier, we had reported that a new Malayalam webseries titled Blindfold has been developed for SonyLiv. The upcoming series is directed by debutant Anzarulla and has a script penned by Harshad, who is best known for penning Unda and Puzhu. Although the makers had previously announced the commencement of filming, the cast was unknown. However, it has now been known that the series stars Arjun Radhakrishnan, Lijomol Jose and Swathi Das Prabhu. The actors shared a shooting location picture on their social media handles. 

Anzarulla and Harshad are also credited as the showrunners of the series. The technical crew of Blindfold comprises cinematographer Fazil Nazer, music director Vishnu Vijay and editor Deepu Joseph.

Lately, mainstream streaming platforms have been showing an increasing interest in Malayalam content. Disney+ Hotstar recently launched their maiden Malayalam web series, Kerala Crime Files. The streamer's upcoming lineup includes Nithin Renji Panicker's Madhuvidhu, Najeem Koya's 1000+ Babies, Nithya Menen's Master Peace and debutant director Praveen Chandran's yet-to-be-titled series starring Sunny Wayne and Nikhila Vimal. 

Sonyliv also has a few web shows coming up, including the Saiju Kurup-starrer Jai Mahendran.
