Nivin Pauly had earlier announced a film titled Dear Students. It is written and directed by debutants Sandeep Kumar and George Philip Roy. Nivin is also producing the film under his banner Pauly Jr Pictures.

The latest buzz is that the makers are in talks with Nayanthara to play the female lead. It is worth a mention that Nivin and Nayanthara had previously worked together in the Dhyan Sreenivasan directorial Love Action Drama. Nayanthara was last seen in Malayalam in Nizhal. She has the Alphonse Puthren directorial Gold coming up next. In Tamil, she has Connect and Iraivan lined up. The actor is also making her Bollywood debut with the Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Jawan.

Meanwhile, Nivin has the long-delayed Thuramukham and the Tamil film Yezhu kadal Yezhu Malai gearing up for release. He also has Vinay Govind's Thaaram and Anuraj Manohar's Shekhara Varma Rajavu in the pipeline.
