We had recently reported about Soubin Shahir playing the lead in debutant Irshad Parari's Ayalvaashi. Produced by Ashiq Usman and Muhsin Parari, the film also stars Binu Pappu, Nikhila Vimal, Lijomol, Shine Tom Chacko, and Naslen in important roles. The makers launched the film on Saturday with a customary pooja ceremony.

Ayalvaashi was first planned with Prithviraj and Indrajith as the leads, but it never materialised due to the prior commitments of the actors. It is worth a mention that Irshad Parari was Prithviraj's associate in his directorial debut Lucifer. He was also part of the direction teams in Prithviraj-starrers like Kuruthi and Adam Joan.

Ayalvaashi, billed as a comedy-drama also stars Jagadish, Shobi Thilakan, and Swathi Das Prabhu among others. The film's technical crew includes cinematographer Sajith Purushan, music composer Jakes Bejoy, and editor Siddique Hyder.
