Following the release of the Malayankunju trailer, actor Suriya shared his excitement on social media and heaped praise on the film’s lead actor Fahadh Faasil, cast and crew.

He extended his love and respect to Fahadh’s father, Fazil, the veteran filmmaker who is producing Malayankunju. He also added that he was blown away after seeing the first glimpse.

The trailer, which was released on Friday, shows Fahadh as a not-so-likeable person who has an aversion towards a baby's constant wailing next door. It later moves into a survival drama space as the protagonist gets trapped in a landslide and gasps for breath.

Directed by Sajimon Prabhakar, Malayankunju stars Rajisha Vijayan as the female lead. The film is scripted by Mahesh Narayanan, who earlier directed Fahadh in Take Off, CU Soon, and Malik. He is also making his debut as a cinematographer with this film.

Malayankunju has music by AR Rahman, who is making his comeback to Malayalam cinema after nearly three decades. The film is slated to hit screens on July 22.
