Fresh updates around Yash's Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups have turned the spotlight on Kiara Advani, with reports indicating that she plays a visually impaired girl in the film. While the makers have not officially confirmed the detail, the speculation gained traction after fans closely examined the posters and promotional material released so far.
One of the reasons the team chose not to release a video version of the first song, 'Tabaahi', and instead rely only on posters appears to be the need to avoid revealing character details too early. At the same time, earlier stills from the film featuring Kiara, along with the song posters where she is seen in Yash’s arms, have strengthened the belief that she portrays a visually impaired character. The imagery has been widely interpreted as a subtle hint, adding to the ongoing curiosity around her role even as the makers maintain strict promotional restraint.
The discussion has also extended to her remuneration for the project. According to reports, Kiara, who is among the highest-paid actors today, is said to have charged around ₹15 crore for the film, though the figure remains unconfirmed by the production team.
Directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic features an ensemble led by Yash alongside Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth, and Tara Sutaria, with Sudev Nair and Balaji Manohar, among others. The film is produced by KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations.
On the music front, Ravi Basrur is handling the film’s score, while songs such as the first single are composed and rendered by Vishal Mishra. The film is slated for a theatrical release on March 19.
With curiosity building around both her character and the film’s scale, Kiara’s role has become one of the most talked-about aspects of Toxic. Until the makers reveal more, the reports about her portraying a visually impaired character remain part of the growing buzz surrounding the film.
