The recently released film Land Lord, directed by Jadeshaa K Hampi, has been receiving positive responses from audiences. Viewers have been appreciating both the story and the performances. The film’s team organised a rally today to thank audiences and directly connect with the public.

The rally witnessed the participation of over 500 students from Bangalore University, who were joined by actor Vijay Kumar. Together, they walked nearly two kilometres, turning the event into a vibrant show of solidarity and celebration around the film. Students actively took part in the march, expressing their support for Vijay and the social message reflected in the film.

One of the most emotional moments of the rally came when Vijay named a baby girl “Bheema Putri” during a brief naming ceremony held at the venue. Adding to the gesture, financial support was announced for the child’s future. Students from Bangalore University collectively pledged ₹25,000, while Vijay announced a personal contribution of ₹75,000, taking the total assistance to ₹1 lakh.

Addressing the media and students later, Vijay Kumar spoke about the importance of the Constitution in everyday life. He said that Dr BR Ambedkar framed the Constitution not for any particular community, but for every citizen, and that everyone depends on it equally. He added that his stand is not rooted in hatred or anger against anyone, but in standing up for constitutional values and rights.

Vijay also thanked the students who participated in large numbers and expressed his gratitude to Bangalore University for their support. He appreciated the enthusiasm shown by the youth and said such engagement gives greater meaning to the film’s message beyond the screen.
