Rishab Shetty chooses not to comment on Rashmika Mandanna–Vijay Deverakonda wedding talk

A Sharadhaa

Actor-filmmaker Rishab Shetty, who attended a spiritual gathering in Mantralaya, found himself fielding a question far removed from cinema: the persistent chatter around Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda.

Rishab Shetty was in the temple town to attend the concluding ceremony of the Guru Vaibhavotsava dedicated to Raghavendra Swamy. After offering prayers and calling the visit a “fortunate coincidence,” he briefly interacted with the media, speaking about upcoming projects and the recently launched Jai Hanuman. But when the conversation shifted to Rashmika’s reported wedding, Rishab Shetty chose not to engage and politely excused himself, keeping the focus on the occasion rather than speculation.

Meanwhile, the wedding buzz continues to gather momentum. Industry chatter suggests that Rashmika and Vijay are planning an intimate ceremony in Udaipur, with only close friends and family expected to attend. The celebrations, according to reports, are designed to remain private despite the intense public interest surrounding the pair.

Sources also indicate that the wedding rituals may reflect both their cultural backgrounds. One ceremony is expected to follow Telugu traditions, while another could incorporate Kodava customs, a nod to Rashmika’s roots. Apparently, eleven celebritis from Kannada have been invited including Shivarajkumar, Yash, Ashwini Puneeth Rajkumar, Anjaniputra director, Harsha, Pogaru director, Nanda Kishore, Chamak actor and director, Ganesh and Suni. Among those spotted ahead of the celebrations is actor Ashika Ranganath, a long-time friend of Rashmika, adding to the sense that the festivities will remain close-knit rather than star-studded.
