Matte Male Hoyyuttide is inspired from short story by writer K Sadashiva

Two songs from Matte Male Hoyyuttide were unveiled at a formal gathering, offering a glimpse into the film that carries the tagline Ella Nenapaguttide. Veteran assistant art director Gangadhar Sri, who has spent over three decades in the industry, is producing the project under the banner Gaviranaganatha Swamy Pictures in the name of his wife Suma. Shruti Anilkumar serves as co-producer and also essays the role of a professor. The film is directed by Param Gubbi, with story, screenplay, dialogues and lyrics by Kabaddi Narendra Babu, and music by Atishaya Jain.

The event was inaugurated by CN Balakrishna and veteran filmmaker Naganna, who reflected on the current landscape of the Kannada film industry. The occasion also saw the unveiling of a poster for another upcoming film from the banner, Bheema Teerada Hantakaru, directed by Kabaddi Narendra Babu.

The cast is led by G Likhith and theatre actor Jayavardhan, with Sulaksha Khair and Bhoomika Gowda as the female leads, alongside Chandrashekar Reddy AM, Prakash Murthy, Kumari Swarna, Shruti, Dinamani and Kavya Kumari.

Drawing from a short story by writer K Sadashiva, the film unfolds across two timelines, the 1980s and the 2000s, weaving together two love stories with contrasting destinies. Rain functions as a recurring motif, while the narrative moves through scenic locales including Sringeri, Horanadu, Koppa, Hariharapura and Agumbe. Cinematography is by Shantharao Epili, editing by Dhanush Veer, art direction by Babu Khan and choreography by Nanda.
