After securing major distribution partnerships in domestic and international markets, actor Yash’s upcoming film Toxic has added another key player to its release strategy. The film had earlier locked its Andhra Pradesh and Telangana distribution through Sri Venkateswara Creations, headed by producer-distributor Dil Raju, and also finalised its overseas distribution for Indian-language versions with Phars Film. Building on these developments, AA Films has now acquired the theatrical distribution rights for North India and Nepal.

The move further strengthens the film’s multi-market release plan and expands its reach across the Hindi-speaking belt. The association reunites AA Films, led by veteran distributor Anil Thadani, with Yash following their earlier collaboration on KGF: Chapter 1 and KGF: Chapter 2. Both films recorded strong box-office performances and contributed to widening the national reach of Kannada cinema.

The professional association between Yash and Thadani dates back to the first KGF film, which adopted a large-scale multi-language release strategy and marked a significant shift in how regional cinema was positioned for audiences across India.

Toxic has been steadily finalising distribution arrangements across major territories in recent months. With AA Films now handling the release across North India and Nepal, the film’s distribution network continues to expand across key domestic markets.

AA Films remains one of India’s established distribution banners, with Anil Thadani overseeing releases across both single-screen and multiplex circuits for several decades. The banner has been associated with several large-scale commercial releases across industries.

Confirming the acquisition, Anil Thadani, Founder of AA Films, said: “Toxic is a cinematic world built with rare ambition, conviction, and a goal to bridge Indian and international sensibilities. From the moment we engaged with the material, it was clear that this is a film designed for the big screen, with a scale of visuals, depth of storytelling, and technical finesse that Indian audiences across markets are hungry for today. Yash has consistently elevated the idea of a pan-India star, and with Toxic, he pushes that envelope even further by stepping into a space that feels both rooted and globally resonant. The team behind the film — its technicians, creative collaborators, and artists — are operating at a world-class level, and the vision is uncompromising. At AA Films, we believe in backing films that have the potential to deliver landmark theatrical experiences, and Toxic has all the inner workings of one. We are proud to bring this film to audiences across North India and Nepal.”

Producer Venkat K. Narayana of KVN Productions highlighted the significance of the collaboration, stating:

“At KVN Productions, we approach cinema with long-term vision and structure. Toxic is a large-scale pan-Indian project that requires a strong distribution backbone. Anil Thadani is among the distributors who helped shape the pan-India movement well before it became a widely used term. His experience in navigating diverse markets makes him well placed to handle the film’s release across North India and Nepal.”

Written by Yash and Geetu Mohandas and directed by Mohandas, Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups has been simultaneously shot in Kannada and English, with dubbed versions planned in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and other languages.

The film’s technical crew includes cinematographer Rajeev Ravi, music composer Ravi Basrur, editor Ujwal Kulkarni, and production designer TP Abid. The action sequences are choreographed by international stunt director JJ Perry along with Indian action directors Anbariv and Kecha Khamphakdee.

Produced by Venkat K. Narayana and Yash under KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations, Toxic is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on 19 March 2026.
