Dil Raju's SVC bags Andhra Pradesh–Telangana distribution rights for Yash's Toxic for record Rs 120 crore deal
Actor Yash’s upcoming film Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups has scripted history even before its theatrical release. In a major move, Sri Venkateswara Creations (SVC), led by Dil Raju, has acquired the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana theatrical rights for a massive Rs 120 crore (advance on commission basis), making it the highest-ever acquisition for a non-Telugu origin film in the region.
The deal, sealed between the makers—KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations—and SVC, has become one of the most major distribution agreements in recent Indian cinema. Trade sources confirm that three major players were in contention for the AP–TG rights, with SVC emerging on top, underlining the industry’s strong confidence in the film's scale and theatrical potential.
Toxic has been generating unprecedented buzz since its announcement with consistent interest across territories. In the Telugu states, Yash enjoys a strong following, with audiences waiting eagerly for his next since KGF Chapter 2. That anticipation has now clearly reflected in the record-breaking pre-release traction.
Speaking about the acquisition, Dil Raju said, "Yash stands as a formidable force in Indian cinema. After KGF Chapter 2, his market has only grown stronger worldwide. The four-year wait has only amplified the excitement around this film. We at SVC are excited to present this prestigious project and hope to collaborate with Yash on many more films."
SVC's association further strengthens Toxic’s theatrical prospects. The banner is known for its National Award-winning films and consistent blockbusters, making it one of the most trusted names in Indian cinema. Its involvement signals strong belief in Toxic’s content and long-term box-office value, particularly in the cinema-driven AP–TG market.
Written by Yash and Geetu Mohandas and directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups has been shot simultaneously in Kannada and English. Dubbed versions are planned in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and other languages, reinforcing its pan-Indian and global ambition.
The film features a strong technical team, with National Award-winning cinematographer Rajeev Ravi, music by Ravi Basrur, editing by Ujwal Kulkarni, and production design by TP Abid. Action sequences are mounted on a large scale, choreographed by Hollywood action director JJ Perry (John Wick), along with National Award-winning action directors Anbariv and Kecha Khamphakdee.
Produced by Venkat K Narayana and Yash under KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations, Toxic is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on 19 March 2026, coinciding with Eid, Ugadi, and Gudi Padwa.
