A new romantic single, 'Jinugo Male', featuring Bigg Boss Kannada Season 11 contestants Dhanush Gowda and Spandana Somanna, was recently unveiled. Produced by Deepthi Akash under the Unicorn Entertainment banner, the track brings together a young team tapping into the growing space for independent Kannada music, which is out on PRK Music.

Dhanush Gowda, said working with PRK Productions had long been on his wishlist, and was happy that 'Jinugo Male' made it happen. Shot over three days in Mudigere, he described the experience as close-knit, with the team working “like a family” through the schedule. The actor added that the song leans into a romantic tone and has come together well visually. Lending the project an early boost, Kichcha Sudeep watched the track and conveyed his support, wishing the team well.

Spandana Somanna acknowledged and described 'Jinugo Male' as a romantic number featuring her alongside Dhanush. She noted that Akash has handled both direction and production, and that the song has been mounted with a cinematic finish. The track has been released through a prominent audio label, with music composed by her brother Avinash. “We’ve put our hearts into it and hope audiences support it,” she said.

Director-producer Akash shared that the idea for 'Jinugo Male' began as a short film concept, which turned out to be a romantic single. Keen on bringing lyricist Nagarjuna Sharma on board, he managed to collaborate with him despite a packed schedule. “Every line in the song carries meaning,” he said, adding that the track includes a hook step aimed at reels and dance creators, with incentives planned for user-generated content. He credited the team’s commitment in shaping the project.

Music composer Avinash pointed to the growing traction for singles across languages, noting that Kannada music is also beginning to see that shift. He described Akash as someone keen on filmmaking, hinting at a feature project in the near future.
