Former Bigg Boss Kannada winner Roopesh Shetty recently shared his thoughts on Season 12, particularly about coastal Karnataka contestant Raksitha Shetty. With mid-week eliminations, surprise twists, and the third-week finale already creating ripples, fans and contestants are in for plenty of surprises.
Talking about Raksitha’s first-day elimination, Roopesh said, “Of course, it was upsetting. When someone with dreams faces a shock on day one, anyone would feel frustrated. But the good thing is, it also revealed a contestant with genuine presence. She deserves to be in the house. Her performance is fun and entertaining, and there’s real innocence in her—it works on the small screen. I’ve really enjoyed watching her.”
Asked if he would vote to support her, Roopesh admitted, “She isn’t up for nomination yet, so I assume she’s safe. I’m busy with films at the moment, but I will vote whenever I get a chance. It’s too early to declare a favourite, but after watching these episodes, Raksitha has caught my eye. Gilli and Jahnavi have also impressed me, as they have acted alongside us in the past. More favourites might emerge as the season progresses.”
However, the season has not been without drama. Contestants Ashwini Gowda and Jahnavi have repeatedly targeted Raksitha, creating tension in the house. From spreading false stories to attempting to frame incidents during night hours, their behaviour has sparked backlash from viewers. During a mid-week elimination, Raksitha and Gilli exposed Jahnavi’s attempted deceit, leading to a heated confrontation.
Viewers and former contestants have criticized Ashwini Gowda and Jahnavi for their bullying and manipulative behaviour, describing it as arrogant and elitist. Many have praised Raksitha for standing up to them, while some feel Sudeep should address the situation.
Raksitha’s resilience continues to win hearts. As viewers rally behind her, the consensus is clear: Ashwini Gowda and Jahnavi’s arrogance and double-faced behaviour have drawn negative opinions, while Raksitha’s innocence and entertaining presence remain the season’s highlight.
