Actor Anuragha, who plays a key role in the JioHostar series Resort, has appeared on video on Instagram and made some serious accusations against the makers of the series and its lead actor Vijay Kumar Rajendran of Eruma Saani fame. Anuragha revealed that she has not received any payment for her work on the series so far and that there has not been any shoot for her over the last four months. The actor alleged that the series' makers have asked her to not seek work elsewhere, claiming that there would be shoot on the series in that period, only for it to not happen.
"I got an opportunity to star in a different JioHotstar series, but they have asked me to block my dates, saying, they have a big character for me in Resort, only to lock me into this series. There is no shoot, my financial condition is very bad, and I am on a one-year agreement," Anuragha said.
The actor added that Vijay Kumar approached her first for the series. "I come from a small village in Kerala, and I went for auditions for almost thrice to Chennai. Each time, they would tell me, 'You are almost confirmed to be the heroine'. You should not use beginners, those who are dreamers, like this," the actor said with frustration.
The Resort actor added that she experienced a fall following an epileptic seizure and that she has lately been starving due to her financial condition. "I am a normal person, and I can only raise my concerns through social media and cannot go to court and pursue a case for this," the actor said.
She also made serious allegations Vijay Kumar's spouse, Nakshatra Murthy. "She used a derogatory word and told my friend, who took me to the hospital, to either marry me or ask me to do the series," the actor said, referring to a voice message sent to her by Nakshatra. "This statement is to Nakshatra, wife of Vijay Kumar from Eruma Saani. If you want, you remain a stay-at-home wife, but I have ambitions, aims, aspirations, and wishes. I dare to come into this industry to prove myself. Always one woman should standard for another, but I do not seen this here," she added.
"When my friend called Vijay Kumar and told him about my health condition, he said, 'Oh, is that the case? Tell her not to comeback to act in this web series.' This is how they treat someone who works in their team," she disclosed.
