A Sharadhaa

Kothalavadi, the debut production of Pushpa Arun Kumar, mother of Rocking Star Yash, is all set to hit theatres on August 1. Produced under her newly launched banner PA Productions, the film aims to bring a fresh voice to the Kannada cinema landscape. While Yash has been instrumental in turning the spotlight on Kannada cinema at a national level, this time it’s his mother making headlines. According to Pushpa, her foray into production reflects her commitment to supporting new-age storytellers and emerging talent.

Helmed by debutant director Sriraj, the film stars Pruthvi Ambaar in a pivotal role, moving away from his romantic hero image to portray a rugged character with mass-appeal. Opposite him is Kavya Shaiva, making her big-screen debut after a successful stint in television. The supporting cast includes seasoned performers Gopalkrishna Deshpande and Rajesh Nataranga. The teaser of the film was noted for its raw tone, intense visuals, and grounded storytelling approach.

On the technical front, Kothalavadi features music by Vikas Vasishta, with Abhinandan Kashyap scoring the background music. Karthik S has handled the cinematography while Ramisetty Pawan has taken care of the editing. Raghu Niduvalli has written the dialogues while the lyrics are penned by V Nagendra Prasad, Kinnal Raj, Pramod Maravante, and Ghouse Peer.
