Actor Dhananjay, known for his role as Daali in Tagaru, married Dr Dhanyatha in a grand ceremony held on February 16, 2025, at the Exhibition Grounds in Mysore. The event, rich in tradition and grandeur, marked a significant moment not just for the couple but for the entire city of Mysore, which holds a special place in their hearts. Dhananjay and Dhanyatha have strong connections to Mysore, having started their education, careers, and journeys into the film industry there. As a tribute to the city that gave them so much, the couple chose Mysore as the location for their wedding, making the ceremony all the more meaningful. Dhananjay’s real-life love story with Dhanyatha, a gynecologist, has been just as heartwarming. The couple’s bond, which began with a simple friendship, blossomed into love, culminating in their marriage. Their wedding, marked by thoughtful touches and immense fanfare, was a beautiful celebration of their journey together.

The wedding ceremony took place in the shadow of the Mysore Palace, where a lavish set was created, blending traditional elements with modern elegance. A replica of the Chamundeshwari Temple was erected at the venue, with its imposing tower adding a spiritual touch and blessing the couple’s special day. Thousands of well-wishers gathered at the venue to witness the moment when Dhananjay tied the sacred knot, marking the beginning of their married life.

The evening before the wedding, on February 15, a grand reception was held, attended by a slew of dignitaries, including Governor Thawar Chand Gehlot, Minister Dr HC Mahadevappa, and BJP State President BY Vijayendra, alongside celebrities from the Kannada film industry such as Shree Murali, Dhruva Sarja, Upendra, Priyanka, Rakshita, Prem, Venkat K Narayan of KVN Productions, Meghana Raj, Sapthami Gowda, Sruthi Hariharan, Nidhi Subaiah, Shradhaa Srinath, Archana Kottige, Hitha Chandrashekar, and many more. Nagabshan, Poornachandra Mysuru, Naveen Shankar, and Vasuki Vaibhav from the industry, along with close friends of Dhananjay, oversaw the entire arrangement. The reception provided an opportunity for fans, friends, and colleagues to wish the newlyweds well. The muhurat day also saw the presence of Century Star, Shivarajkumar, Vinay Rajkumar, and actor Ramya.

Although Dhananjay and Dhanyatha initially planned for a simple wedding, the overwhelming support from family, friends, and fans made it impossible to keep the event small. The couple decided to invite everyone to share in the celebration, offering a communal meal to guests at the same venue. This gesture highlighted their desire to share their joy with everyone who had supported them throughout their journey.
