Inaugural edition of INCA Awards to be held in April 2026

Designed as an academy-style honours system, INCA awards will recognise Best Film, Best Actor, and Best Actress in 12 Indian languages besides presenting All-India Awards in technical categories

On Wednesday, the Indian National Cine Academy (INCA) announced the dates for its inaugural edition of the Kalyan Jewellers INCA Awards. CConceived as India’s first truly unified national cinema platform, the INCA Awards will be held in Mumbai on April 15 and 16. 

INCA brings together 12 Indian film industries under one academy, with an aim to celebrate excellence in cinema and encourage deeper collaboration across regions and creative communities. Producers Guild of India will be serving as the Chief Patron for INCA. Designed as an academy-style honours system, INCA awards will recognise Best Film, Best Actor, and Best Actress in each of the 12 Indian languages — Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Bengali, Bhojpuri, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Assamese, Gujarati.

In addition, the All-India awards will honour excellence across direction, performance, music, technical crafts, and debut categories.

For the inaugural edition, all Indian films that release between January 1 and December 31 in 2025 are eligible for the awards. All nominations can be submitted on the official website of INCA, with March 1 being the last date for submission. 

INCA is promoted by the promoters of the Celebrity Cricket League (CCL) and SIIMA, led by Vishnu Vardhan Induri. Adding further stature to the inaugural edition, Kalyan Jewellers has come on board as the Presenting Sponsor.
