Ayushmann Khurrana, who had a major release earlier this year with Pati Patni Aur Woh Do, will soon be seen headlining Udta Teer, a spy-comedy which also stars Sara Ali Khan. Within two months, the actor has another big release with Sooraj R Barjatya’s Yeh Prem Mol Liya. The actor spoke about the thrills and challenges of navigating diverse genres on a consistent basis.

In an official statement, Ayushmann said, “I want every film to feel like a new chapter, with a new world, a new rhythm and a new version of me. Udta Teer and Yeh Prem Mol Liya are completely different experiences, and that contrast is what drew me to them. One allows me to explore the madness and humour of a genre-bending patriotic comedy, while the other takes me into the warmth, emotion and music of a family drama.”

Further talking about his love for experimentation, the Udta Teer actor added, “From my very first film, I have wanted to surprise audiences and surprise myself as an actor. I’ve never believed in being confined to one image or genre. For me, versatility is not just about changing genres but about finding the truth of every character and making sure the audience feels something new each time they see me on screen."

He also acknowledged audience’s support through his journey, adding, “The fact that they have embraced me through these constant shifts is incredibly special. I hope to continue taking risks, choosing stories that challenge me and delivering performances that keep them guessing.”

While Udta Teer, directed by Aakash Kaushik and produced by Dharma Productions and Sikhya Entertainment, is set for theatrical release on October 9, Yeh Prem Mol Liya is set to arrive on November 27. The Sooraj R Barjatya film also stars Sharvari.
