The makers of Kunal Kemmu directorial Vibe had launched their film’s trailer last week. On Monday, the team resumed the promotions by releasing the first single of their film, titled ‘Aisi Meri Vibe’.
Composed by Kanishka Pal AKA Kanfuzion, ‘Aisi Meri Vibe’ is a fast-paced, high-energy number with catchy rap vocals, heavy EDM influences and an overall groovy vibe. Lyrics are penned by Irfana Hameed and Shubham Sopan Khillari. Kanfuzion has also sung the song along with Khillari and Irfana.
The music video, shot with great swag and vivid colour scheme, captured that element of style. All the lead actors of the film --- Kunal Kemmu, Sparsh Shrivastava, Preity Zinta and debutant Vanshika Dhar - feature in the video.
Talking about their song, Kanishka shared, “The idea was to make it feel like a statement from the very first beat. We wanted the song to keep that confidence throughout while still being fun and catchy. It has different energies coming together that felt perfect for the world of the film. A lot of this was also possible because of the belief and guidance of Kunal sir, who gave us the opportunity and creative freedom to deliver a great, energetic song.”
KHILLARI added, “What I connected with immediately was the attitude of the track. It is about knowing who you are and owning your style and personality. There is a swagger to it, but there is also that sense of camaraderie, which is such a big part of Vibe.” Irfana said, “I loved that my section gets to have a personality completely of its own. It is confident, playful, and very sure of itself, and that was the energy I wanted to bring to it. The video really takes that idea further with the visuals, styling, and choreography.”
Vibe centers on two inseparable friends — Hardik and Bugs — whose ordinary lives spiral into an unpredictable, action-packed adventure that pushes their survival instincts and friendship to the limit.
Besides writing and directing the film, Kunal is also onboard as a producer in association with Chirag Nihlani, backing the film under their banner of Drongo Films.
An Amazon MGM Studios film, Vibe is set for theatrical release on September 18. The film will clash against Kareena-Prithviraj starrer Daayra.
