The makers of upcoming Shraddha Kapoor-starrer Eetha released the official trailer of their film on Friday afternoon. Directed by Laxman Utekar, the biopic drama is set to release on December 4. The film is a biopic of Vithabai Narayangaonkar, a renowned Marathi Tamasha and Lavani performer.

The Eetha trailer begins with a dramatic visual of the protagonist, looking wounded and angry, throwing mud at a cut-out poster of herself. We are then introduced to vignettes of many chapters of her life, each occupied by many supportive men who encourage the lavni artist to keep on going in her pursuit of becoming an artists who wants to set an example with every phase of her life, including death.

The trailer also ends with a dramatic monologue by the character who wears her Maratha identity on her sleeve with utmost pride, making her mark in an elitist crowd that would usually brand her an outcast. By the looks of it, Eetha promises to be a larger-than-life biopic. “Aankhon mein aandhi, Pairon mein toofaan, Tamasha ki shaan aur hamara abhimaan!,” the makers captioned the post.

The supporting cast of the film includes Randeep Hooda, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, Siddharth Jadhav, Ishtiyak Khan, and Anant Joshi.

Jointly produced by Maddock Films & Kathputli Creations, Eetha has music by Ajay-Atul and choreography by Vaibhavi Merchant Other key technicians include cinematographer Akash Agrawal, costume designer Sheetal Iqbal Sharma and editor Manish Pradhan. Subrata Chakraborty and Amit Ray are the production designers. Kshitij Patwardhan, who shares story and screenplay credits with director Laxman Uterkar, is credited for dialogues as well.

Produced by Dinesh Vijan, Laxman Utekar, Karishma Sharma, Eetha is set to clash at the box office against Arjun Rampal starrer 3 Monkeys.
