On Tuesday, we reported about Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon voicing Bear and Nikki for the Hindi version of Curry Barker's horror hit Obsession ahead of its October 30 release on JioHotstar. On Thursday, the streamer shared a video where Varun and Kriti can be seen doing their rendition of the iconic Obsession dinner table scene, originally performed by Michael Johnston and Inde Navarrette in the film.

In the scene, Nikki presents Bear with a precious piece of jewellery, and he immediately tells her that they should break up. An upset Nikki throws a tantrum, asking Bear why he does not love her and eventually forcing him to say yes.

For the unversed, Obsession follows a young man (Johnston) who tries to make her childhood girlfriend his forever with a novelty toy known as 'One Wish Willow'. However, his wish comes with dire repercussions as what began as a case of one-sided love turns obsessive.

Barker made his debut with 2024's Milk and Serial, a slasher film that was released for free on YouTube. Obsession is his first theatrically released film. Since its release in the summer, the film has went on to gross over $500 million from theatres worldwide. It is among the ten highest-grossing films of all time in the horror genre. Alongside Kane Parsons' Backrooms, the film brought about a rejuvenated sense of discourse around cerebral horror cinema around the world.

In addition to Johnston and Navarrette in critically acclaimed roles, the film also features Cooper Tomlinson and Megan Lawless, among others. The original uncut version of the film is slated to drop on JioHotstar on Friday, offering a chance for audiences to witness Bear and Nikki's story in all its gory detailing.
