Ranbir Kapoor is gearing up for the November 05 release of Ramayana, directed by Nitesh Tiwari of Dangal fame. The film is set to mark Ranbir's first theatrical release in three years; the actor's last film to hit the cinemas worldwide is Animal. An adaptation of the mythological epic of the same name, the film stars Ranbir in the titular role of Lord Ram alongside Sai Pallavi as goddess Sita and Yash as demon king Raavan.

Advance bookings for Ramayana have started, and it has already raked in a substantial amount. According to data from the box office tracker Sacnilk, the film has earned around 13 crore through pre-release reservations alone. If you do not take block seats into account, the Ramayana box office collection comes down to about 10.50 crore.

It is worth noting that the aforementioned applies only to the first day of its release and that bookings are already open for the first five days. This means that there will be an uptick in the reservation figures soon.

Further, the aforesaid Ramayana box office collection does not take paid premieres into account either. According to reports, the makers plan to conduct paid previews for the film on the evening before its official release in theatres.

Ramayana is set to have a two-part release, with the second instalment being set for a Diwali 2027 release in theaters. The film is produced by Namit Malhotra of Prime Focus Studios and Yash through his Monster Mind Creations banner. The film also stars Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman, Lara Dutta as Queen Kaikeyi and Sheeba Chadha as Manthara. The large ensemble cast includes

Arun Govil as King Dashrath and Ravie Dubey as Lakshman, among others. On the technical front, it has music by Oscar winners Hans Zimmer and AR Rahman.
