Eminent Telugu producer Dil Raju was present at the grand promotional event held for Ramayana: Part 1, the much-anticipated mythological epic that is set to release on November 5. However, on the occasion, Dil Raju did a faux pas, mistakenly calling Ranbir Kapoor as Ranveer Singh on stage while praising him.
Although Dil Raju immediately corrected himself, the good-up was immediately caught by the attendees, and later on social media, with the clip now going viral and many netizens taking a dig at the producer for the same. An X user named 'Viratyash2025' wrote, "After saying that, he is literally having a giggle there!" Another X user penned, "He said the truth by mistake."
Earlier in his speech, Dil Raju had said about Ranbir, “After Brahmastra and Animal, this is our hattrack film with him. We have all seen how he performs when he takes on a character. One of our best actors and heroes.” Dil Raju is onboard for Ramayana as well as a distributor, releasing the film in Telugu states.
Dil Raju was also full of praises for Namit Malhotra for backing a project like this. He said, “When I met Namit ji, he showed me some 3D sequences from the film. In a single word, mindblowing. Soon, everyone will be able experience it. When we hear VFX, we think of Hollywood films and our own Rajamouli. Now, we we see it in Ramayana. Namit ji, you are taking your Indian history to the world. For the next generation, you are increasing the value of India in every country.”
The primary cast and crew of Ramayana, including director Nitesh Tiwari, and actors Sai Pallavi, Yash, Ravie Dubey, and Rakul Preet Singh, were present at the event. Additionally, Karan Johar was present at the event.
It is to be noted that Dil Raju is also the producer for the upcoming Salman Khan-starrer Monster, which also features Nayanthara in the lead. The film is tentatively set for release in March 2027.
