Drishyam: The Conclusion, which released on Friday, created an uproar at the box office with its opening day figures. The Ajay Devgn starrer is the third and final instalment of the Drishyam franchise.
According to Sacnilk, the film collected Rs 66.75 crores nett on day 1 at domestic box office, while the overseas market figures crossed Rs 15 crore mark. Overall, the film garnered Rs 95.1 crores on Friday. With such stupendous figures, Drishyam 3 has now emerged as the 2nd highest day 1 grosser of 2026, only behind Dhurandhar 2. The Ajay Devgan starrer surpassed the collections of other big openers like Border 2 and the Hindi market figures of Yash starrer Toxic.
In the all time list of biggest Hindi openers, the film stands at 3rd position, after Dhurandhar 2 and Pushpa 2. The film surpassed the figures of other blockbusters like Jawan, KGF 2, and more.
The film has also received extremely positive reviews overall, which will invariably lead to higher show counts on the weekends. Directed by Abhishek Pathak, Drishyam 3 is highly likely to cross 300 crore figure by Sunday itself. Also considering there are no major releases next week, Drishyam is easily looking at a domestic business of Rs 600 crores, if not more.
In our review for the film, we noted, “It’s commendable to see the film not relaxing on the laurels of its previous instalments. The callbacks are smart and the movie ably subverts the audiences expectations. Even the small characters are given funny, interesting bits.”
Written by Abhishek Pathak, Aamil Keeyan Khan, Parveez Shaikh, the film additionally stars Jaideep Ahlawat, Prakash Raj, Tabu, Rajat Kapoor, and Shriya Saran.
