With just days left for the worldwide release of Ramayana: Part 1, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Yash as Rama, Sita, and Ravana, the cast and crew are busy touring the world and promoting the film. Some interviews have come post the film's global premiere, with interviewers asking questions about specific scenes from the film.

In an interview with Review Nation, Yash was asked about a scene where he is seen with his ten heads as Ravana and has adopted multiple voices and personalities for those different heads, as mentioned by the interviewer. While Yash was afraid of revealing too much ahead of the film's release, the actor shared the process behind how the scene was conceived.

He said, "When Nitesh sir and I were discussing it, we knew this is how the scene had to play out. Different characters had to come in because we all have those different personalities inside us. No matter how we present ourselves to the world, we have those dilemmas in our heads—sometimes we are very strong, sometimes we are very weak and doubtful about ourselves, and at other times we are overconfident. These varied thought processes exist in everybody, so we wanted our interpretation to be very unique and special."

On how it all came together, he continued, "The idea of that scene was to bring out that dilemma in the most natural way. The physical form was just a backstory, because Ravana is written as someone with ten heads, which means ten personalities within him. I wanted to have a different voice for each. I could have played it in the same voice, but I started imagining that each personality could speak like this or look like this. My makeup artist Prashant did a fantastic job, and my director was very supportive — he gave me that space and asked me how I wanted to play it."

Yash then said he imagined some and took inspiration from some of the personalities. "Some of the traits had already been shown in some films, so I retained those, and for the ones that weren't there, I imagined them. I thought, okay, maybe he is so disturbed or so doubtful. We just put all of that together and made it an interesting scene. Technically also, it was very difficult to have all of that come together. I think we shot it for six to seven days."

Helmed by Nitesh Tiwari, Ramayana: Part 1 is produced by Namit Malhotra and Yash. The film also stars Sunny Deol, Ravi Dubey, Anupam Kher, Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh, Vivek Oberoi, Kunal Kapoor, Adinath Kothare, Arun Govil, Indira Krishnan, and Lara Dutta, among others. It is set to open in theatres on November 5.
