Ida Ali, daughter of filmmaker Imtiaz Ali recently took to her social media page to announce the news of her engagement to her longtime partner Krish Agrawal.
On July 12, Ida shared a video where Krish could be seen proposing to her with a diamond ring, besides sharing a few more photos in a separate post from the occasion. “01/07/26 11 pm Ytresand,” Ida captioned the post. Although Imtiaz Ali did not make any post on his account, he did share a news article reporting wrong age of Ida, adding the caption, “25-year-old. please.”
Meanwhile, many notable film figures like Ahsaas Channa, Vedang Raina, Sharvari, Khushi Kapoor, Aaliyah Kashyap, Orry, Sanjana Sanghi, and many others congratulated the couple in the comments section under Ida’s post.
Ida, who also runs a popular podcast on YouTube alongside Kareema Berry, titled ‘Why Are The Curtains Blue?,’ was recently seen in a blink-and-miss cameo appearance in Imtiaz Ali’s latest release Main Vaapas Aaunga, which has now emerged as a surprise hit at the box office. She also played a small role in Thai Massage (2022), the OTT series created by Imtiaz.
Additionally, following in her father’s footsteps, Ida has directed short films like Life (2017), Maya (2018), Uljhe Hue (2022) and The Other Woman (2022) in the past few years.
In an old interview with ETimes, Imtiaz had said about Ida, “Ida and I have been collaborating since the time she was born, that’s because she has been addicted to stories and has forced me to tell her one story every night when I used to put her to sleep. Every story I’ve made, especially from Tamasha and even before that, she would be listening to them while in the house, and then more actively giving ideas, reactions, and feedback.”
