The Kerala Story 2: Goes Beyond teaser: 3 young girls decide to fight back against religious oppression

The sequel to The Kerala Story is set for theatrical release on February 27

On Friday, the makers of The Kerala Story 2: Goes Beyond released the official teaser of their film, also confirming the release date. Produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah, the film will arrive in theatres on February 27. 

The teaser establishes the film’s three protagonists who look into the camera as they share the share of their victimhood by Muslim men who trapped them in order to propel their religious conversio, while also stating their mission to convert all the unmarried young women in India. Sharing their fears of India becoming an Islamic state, the three girls chant in unison, declaring their intent to fight back. The film’s slogan “Ab Sahenge Nahi.. Ladenge” (It’s time to fight, not tolerate), carried a similar sentiment. 

The Kerala Story 2: Goes Beyond is an official sequel to the 2023 film The Kerala Story which was a monstrous hit at the box office, and also received 2 National Awards. Ulka Gupta, Aditi Bhatia and Aishwarya Ojha play the three leads in the sequel. 

Vipul is producing the film in association with Aashin A Shah under the Sunshine Pictures banner. Kamakhya Narayan Singh helms direction.  Vipul is also writer for the film alongwith Amarnth Jha.

Mannan Shah has composed the songs and background score, while Manoj Muntashir has penned the lyrics. Other key technicians include Sanjay Sharma as the editor, Juhi Talmaki as the production designer, and Abhijeet Chaudhari as the cinematographer.
