Actor Dhanush has had a profitable 2025, having delivered commercially successful films across languages. A few hours ago, the actor took to social media to express his gratitude to the audience for turning each of Kuberaa, Idli Kadai, and Tere Ishk Mein into a superhit. Kuberaa, Tere Ishk Mein, and Idli Kadai grossed 138.1 crore, 161.96 crore, and 71.85 crore, respectively, from theatres worldwide, according to industry tracker Sacnilk's data. Calling 2025 a "truly unforgettable" year for him, Dhanush wrote that seeing each of the aforementioned films "become a superhit has been a blessing I will cherish forever". According to Dhanush, the achievement would not have been possible without the audience's love and support for him.
It is worth noting that Sacnilk's box office verdict does not really classify all of the above-mentioned films as superhits.
Nevertheless, the actor wished "a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year" to his social media followers. "May it bring you joy, success, and everything your heart desires," Dhanush wrote.
The actor described his fans as his "pillars of strength" and doubled down on his gratitude to them for their love and support. He ended the note with his trademark reference to Lord Shiva, writing "Om Namah Shivaya".
Notably, the actor wrote wrote, directed and produced Idli Kadai. The year also show him reunite with his Raanjhanaa director Aanand L Rai, only to taste box office success again in the Hindi belt.
Dhanush's upcoming films include one with Mari Selvaraj, an APL Abdul Kalam biopic, an Ilaiyaraaja biopic, a film with Tamizharasan Pachaimuthu of Lubber Pandhu fame, another project with Vignesh Raja. Understandably, as an actor, he has a busy schedule ahead.
