With days to go for the release of their upcoming film Tere Ishk Mein, Dhanush and Kriti Sanon have visited Varanasi alongside their film's director Anand L Rai. The film's cast and director made the trip as part of a promotional tour. Dhanush shared some stills from their trip on Instagram and wrote, "Banaras. The world is a better place when you are at his feet. Har Har Mahadev." Later, Dhanush also reminisced about his days shooting the film Raanjhanaa with director Anand L Rai in the holy place. The actor described Kundan from Raanjhanaa as "a character that refuses to let go of me, even after more than a decade." He added, "The name Kundan still echoes in the narrow lanes of Banaras as people call out ot me and I still turn and smile. Now walking through the same lanes, sitting in front of the same house, sipping chai from the same tea shop, and walking by the shores of the holy Ganges, with the man who gave me Kundan, feels like a full circle."

The actors also visited the Varanasi temple and sought God's blessings for the film's success. Dhanush also expressed his eagerness to see the release of Tere Ishk Mein, where he plays a character named Shankar. Anand has directed the film from a screenplay by Himanshu Sharma and Neeraj Yadav. He has also produced it alongside Himanshu, Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar. Gulshan Kumar, Colour Yellow and T-Series are presenting the film, which hits theatres tomorrow.
