Is Rajpal Yadav out on bail? Salman Khan video triggers speculation

A video where Rajpal can be seen praising Salman Khan is doing the rounds on social media

Recently, we reported about actor Rajpal Yadav surrendering himself to jail authorities in a case related to a bounced cheque incident. Meanwhile, an old video where he can be seen praising Salman Khan is doing the rounds on social media. A post on X has gone viral as it claimed that Salman has paid off Rajpal's debt and helped him get out of jail on bail. However, this is not true. Rajpal is still in jail.

In the video, Rajpal can be heard saying that there is nobody as kindhearted as Salman Khan in the film industry, that he feels relieved, and thanking Salman for his generosity. The post claimed that Salman helped Rajpal, and many people fell for it because some from the film industry have already come forward in support of the comic actor.

However, the clip dates back at least eight years. It does not have anything to do with Rajpal Yadav's ongoing case. Rather, it was Rajpal's reaction to the news of Salman getting out on bail in connection with the 1990s blackbuck poaching case.

The Delhi High Court heard Rajpal's bail plea the other day, but it rejected his application. The court also questioned the actor's decision to seek plea after admitting that he borrowed the money while promising repayment. Meanwhile, the actor's manager said that half of what he owes in connection with his insolvency case has been repaid.

In an attempt to settle the dispute, the film producer declined offer from Rajpal's team to pay them off. A negotiation process has commenced on the agreement dating back to 2012, part of the time of which has been served. "Two and a half out of the five crore have been given, let us see what the court decides on Monday," the manager revealed.
