The trailer of Taapsee Pannu headliner action-thriller Gandhari was unveiled by the makers on Tuesday. Directed by Devashish Makhija, the film has been written and produced by Kanika Dhillon.

After her young daughter gets kidnapped, a blinded mother (played by Taapsee) decides to take matters into her own hands and find her. In the process, she will go deep into the underbelly of a child trafficking network plaguing a neon-lit town in West Bengal.

Speaking about how she prepped for the role, Taapsee said, "I interacted with a visually impaired person to understand the nuances and movements of a person suffering from blindness. I also ensured that I portray the character with sensitivity."

The film features Ishwak Singh as the young girl's father and Jatin Sarna as the cop investigating the case. The supporting cast includes Chhaya Kadam, Swastika Mukherjee, and Mita Vashisht.

Gandhari also marks Kanika's fourth collaboration with Taapsee, after Manmarziyaan (2018), Haseen Dillruba (2021), and Phir Aayi Haseen Dillruba (2024). Kanika is producing the film under Kathha Pictures banner. The film is scheduled to release on Netflix on September 3.
