If reports are to be believed, Salman Khan will be the first guest on the upcoming ninth season of Koffee With Karan, a celebrity talk show hosted by filmmaker Karan Johar.

As per a report in Variety India, Salman has confirmed his presence for the premiere episode and is likely to make a solo appearance on the show. An official announcement from Karan Johar or the makers is still awaited.

Salman has previously appeared on the talk show twice: once in the fourth season where he was joined by his father Salim Khan and then in the fifth season where he came with his brothers Sohail and Arbaaz.

Salman’s visit to the KWK couch has always resulted in controversy. When he came to the show during its fourth season, he called himself a “virgin”, a comment which became a topic of both discussion and memes.

Later, when asked to choose three public figures for marriage, a casual fling and friendship, Salman refused to reveal his choices for the first two categories, saying he wouldn’t disclose his picks for a hook-up or marriage. He did, however, choose Katrina Kaif for friendship.

The latest season of the show is set to release in either October or November.

On the work front, Salman is currently working with Telugu filmmaker Vamsi Paidipally on a pan-India action spectacle that is being mounted across Hindi, Telugu and Tamil. The film, reportedly titled Monster, co-stars Nayanthara and is eyeing a major Eid 2027 release. The actor also has Maatrubhumi in the pipeline, which is inspired by a chapter from Shiv Aroor’s India’s Most Fearless (2022) and revolves around the 2020 India-China clashes.
