Koffee with Karan: Janhvi Kapoor recalls Khushi comforting her after Sridevi's death

The latest episode of Koffee with Karan season 8 saw Bollywood sister duo Jahnvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor gracing the Koffee couch. During the conversation, host Karan Johar discussed the significant impact of losing a parent with the sisters.

Janhvi said that it was actually her sister Khushi Kapoor who comforted her despite being the younger sibling.

Recalling the devastating moment, she told show host Karan Johar, "When I got the call, I was in my room and I could hear wailing from Khushi's room. I think I barged into her room, hauling and crying but what I do remember is she looked at me and the minute she looked at me, she just stopped crying. She just sat next to me and started comforting me and I've never seen her cry about it since."

Reacting to this, Khushi said, "I felt like I had to hold it together for everyone because I feel like I've always been the strong one."

Janhvi also spoke about the similarities between Khushi and Sridevi. "She is a very quiet person and I think that is one thing she has in common with Mumma. But in front of the camera, she just explodes."

Sridevi, whose career spanned over 50 years in a wide range of genres, passed due to accidental drowning in a bathtub in her hotel room in Dubai on February 24, 2018. She was 54.

Meanwhile, Janhvi will be next seen in Mr and Mrs Maahi alongside Rajkummar Rao. She also has Devara, starring Jr NTR and Saif Ali Khan, in her kitty. Khushi was last seen in Zoya Akhtar's Archies.
