Director Imtiaz Ali's film Main Vaapas Aaunga recently started streaming on Netflix after its theatrical release in June. Since then, the film has been receiving plenty of appreciation from the audience, including those catching it for the first time on the streaming platform. Actor Revathy also joined the fan club for the Partition-era love story, starring Naseeruddin Shah, Diljit Dosanjh, Vedang Raina and Sharvari, among others.

Revathy wrote, "One of those films after which no words can express what we feel… absolutely heartwarming! The basic canvas is so so relatable… the partition that is still raw in many people’s hearts but buried for decades and kept aside suddenly feels raw again… as always some politicians decide, some officials draw lines but millions of common people suffered…"

She added, "such movies make me feel proud to be part of this industry that can bring such emotions alive and make one rethink about our own perspectives."

Revathy expressed her gratitude to director Imtiaz for making Main Vaapas Aaunga, as well as to AR Rahman for the music that she said "will live on for a long long time." The track 'Tere Paas Mein,' sung by Deepali Sahay, especially, earned much appreciation from the audience for its deep connection to the story and the emotional resonance it evokes.

She also called it "A must watch for people who don’t know or realise the sacrifices made by thousands for the freedom today… and all those who feel violence and wars are the only way to resolve issues. A well told story of love."

Main Vaapas Aaunga had a slow start in the first week of its release at the box office. However, positive word of mouth and critical appreciation contributed it to earning around 100 crore from theatres worldwide.
