Main Vaapas Aaunga, the recently released Imtiaz Ali, has been receiving a positive response from the limited audience it has managed to attract so far. While the film’s box office collections are low, there has been a slow but steady improvement over the past few days. Amidst all the praises and raving reviews, the film has also drawn criticism from a minor section of the audience, who are criticising the film of being too preachy and ‘anti-national’ for its message around peace and empathy.

Now AR Rahman has reacted to a social media post that’s now going viral. Sharing a screenshot of a satirical page that accuses Main Vaapas Aaunga of ‘showing Pakistan without terrorists and secret agents,’ Rahman added a laughing emoji, expressing his amusement at the notion.

Meanwhile, the soundtrack of Main Vaapas Aaunga has been receiving a lot of attention and praise on social media. The complete album was released two days before the film released.

The period-drama marks the fifth collaboration between Rahman and director Imtiaz Ali, after Rockstar (2011), Highway (2014), Tamasha (2015) and Amar Singh Chamkila (2024).
