The makers of Awarapan 2 finally unveiled the official trailer of their film, 8 days ahead of the release. The Emraan Hashmi starrer sequel to his 2007 film Awarapan promises to be bigger, more intense and more violent than its predecessor. 

The Awarapan 2 trailer begins with the shot of a bloodied Shivam Pandit (Emraan) being tortured by a few thugs before it introduces the antagonist Nafisa (Shabana Azmi), whose acerbic words remind Shivam of his long association with death and redemption. Without giving the plot away, the trailer captures the vast, intense and action-driven universe this time around, also giving brief glimpses of its other key players, played by actors like Disha Patani, Suvinder Vicky, Puran Gabbi as Zorawar, Anirudh Rawal as Sikandar, Surendar Vicky as Jaideep, Vijayant Kohli as Mehmood and Atul Kumar.

At the heart of the trailer is ‘Tera Mera Rishta’, the anguish-laden ballad which also formed an integral part of Awarapan, running through the trailer like a second pulse, turning every action sequence into something that hits closer to the heart than the gut.

The Awarapan 2 album is composed by Mithoon, Jeet Gannguli, Amaal Malik, Ankit Sachdev and Wasif Ahmad, with lyrics by Sayeed Qadri, Rashmi Virag, Akhil Sachdeva and Sachin Singh Chandel. In past few weeks, the makers have released few singles like ‘Ve Junoon’, ‘Yeh Awarapan’ and ‘Toh Phir Aao,’ with more to come. 

Presented by Mukesh Bhatt and Vishesh Films and produced by Vishesh Bhatt, Awarapan 2 is directed by Nitin Kakkar (Filmistan, Jawaani Janeman) and written by Bilal Siddiqui. The action-thriller will clash at the box office against Sunny Deol starrer Batwara 1947.
