A new poster unveiling a gritty look of Emraan Hashmi from the upcoming film Awarapan 2 was unveiled by the makers on Wednesday. The poster, featuring Emraan as the emo-gangster Shivam Pandit, also gives a taste of the modern rendition of Awarapan’s (2007) hit song ‘Tera Mera Rishta’.
The motion poster features Emraan standing in the rain, long-locks dripping wet with an intense look on his face.
‘Tera Mera Rishta’ is a popular song from the first part of the franchise. Penned by Sayed Quadri, the original version was sung by Mustafa Zahid with composition by Pritam. The vocals in the modern rendition have been lent by Subodhh Sharma with music by Mithoon.
Awarapan 2 also features Disha Patani, Shabana Azmi, Suvinder Vicky, Vijayant Kohli, Aniruddh Rawal and Atul Kumar. Produced by Vishesh Bhatt, directed by Nitin Kakkar and written by Bilal Siddiqui, the film releases in cinemas worldwide on August 14. It will clash with the Sunny Deol-headliner Batwara 1947.
