Veteran filmmaker David Dhawan, who has delivered some of the biggest hits of 90s and 2000s, is returning with another comedy entertainer Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai. The film, which stars Varun Dhawan, Mrunal Thakur and Pooja Hegde, borrows its title from a popular song from Dhawan’s 1999 film Biwi No 1. In a recent interview, David Dhawan spoke about his long association with the actor.
Praising Salman not just as a superstar but also as a kind and emotional human being, David said, “Salman and I have gone a long way. He’s always given his support for anything. In the family, it is not for one but for everyone. He and I, we got along so well.”
Recalling their working experience, David added, “I’ve done so much work together with him. We’ve traveled all over the world together, doing shootings. Even after the shooting is done, he’s a great human being. He’s very emotional also. We have a unique relationship.”
