After making headlines for his heartfelt meeting with Shah Rukh Khan at Anant Ambani’s birthday celebration in Jamnagar, amidst enjoying enormous box office success for Dhurandhar 2, Ranveer Singh is against hogging the limelight — this time with his visit to the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Bhawan.
The Dhurandhar 2 actor reportedly made RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat on Friday April 10, and held an hour-and-a-half long meeting with the RSS chief, discussing his latest film and RSS’ functioning and initiatives among other subjects.
The reasons for Ranveer’s visit to RSS are not clear. Following his meeting with Mohan Bhagwat, Ranveer reportedly also paid a visit to Dr Hedgewar Smruti Mandir in Reshimbagh where he paid his tributes to RSS founder K.B. Hedgewar and second sarsanghchalak MS Golwalkar and interacted with many RSS functionaries who informed him about RSS-affiliated cultural body Chitrabharati.
This is not the first time Ranveer Singh has expressed his reverence towards RSS, though. In December last year, the actor had extended greetings to the organisation in its centenary year in a video statement, where he said, "Namaskar, I am Ranveer Singh. I would like to extend my heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to the RSS for completing 100 years. I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for the contribution you have made in serving the country for the past 100 years."
