The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) is celebrating completing a century with a two-day event in Mumbai titled “100 Years of Sangh Journey: New Horizons.” While on the first day, Hindi film industry stars Salman Khan and Ranbir Kapoor, along with directors Subhash Ghai and Nitesh Tiwari were among the dignitaries attending the function, the second day saw Bollywood celebrities like Karan Johar, Ananya Panday, Vicky Kaushal, Akshay Kumar, Shilpa Shetty, Ravi Dubey, Madhur Bhandarkar and Raveena Tandon, making the centenary event a star-studded affair.

Karan and Ananya arrived together and while the former was dressed in a white kurta-pyjama topped with a grey Bundi jacket, the latter looked graceful in a white and maroon Anarkali suit.

Sharing his thoughts on the event, Karan said, “I really enjoyed attending today’s RSS Centenary celebration. Listening to Bhagwat Ji’s thoughts and ideas was inspiring. We sincerely thank him for giving Bollywood personalities so much time. Many thanks to everyone involved in organizing this event.”

Vicky was also seen in a light pink ensemble, sporting his Love & War moustache and talking to director and producer Vipul Amrutlal Shah. He also expressed his admiration for the RSS leadership, saying, “It’s wonderful that the RSS journey has completed 100 years. For the first time, I got to hear Mohan Bhagwat speak in person, and I was deeply impressed.”

Shilpa Shetty also shared her appreciation, stating, “First of all, congratulations on this centenary. I am a big fan of Mohan Bhagwat. I greatly admire his resolve and dedication to working for the nation, and I am truly a huge fan of his.”

Madhur Bhandarkar added, “I am very happy to have attended this two-day event. Listening to Mohan Bhagwat was very enlightening; he explained what RSS is. There have been various perspectives about RSS in the country.”

As part of the 100-year celebrations, RSS is releasing a film chronicling its journey: Shatak: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh ke 100 Varsh, directed by Aashish Mall and presented by ADA 360 Degrees LLP. It is produced by Vir Kapur and co-produced by Aashish Tiwari. The film is slated for theatrical release on February 19.

Earlier this week, Ajay Devgn shared the teaser on social media, writing: “RSS ko sau saal poore hone par dher saari badhaaiyan! Inn sau saalon mein rashtra nirmaan mein sangh ka bada yogdaan raha hai. Iss kaam par aur roshni daalne aa rahi hai film #Shatak. Yeh rahi uski pehli jhalak (Congratulations to RSS for completing 100 years! Its contribution to nation-building has been immense. This film will shed some light on the same. Here’s its first glimpse).”
