Among the many actors who rose to limelight with Dhurandhar’s mammoth success is Vivek Sinha, who plays the role of a Pakistani terrorist and one of the hijackers in the 1999 IC 814 Kandahar hijack scene, in the film. The scene, where his character calls Hindus ‘darpok kaum,’ went particularly viral on social media.

In a recent social media post, it was speculated that the actor received Rs 1 crore as remuneration for his brief role. However, Vivek took to his Instagram page and shared a video statement to refute the same. The actor thanked his fans at first, adding, “Some people have made this format on social media where they are claiming knowledge of how much each Dhurandhar actor got paid, including me. Some people claimed there I received 80 lakhs, while others claimed I got Rs 1 crore. Trust me, I have received nothing close to it. I have received a respectable amount, but nothing close to these figures.”

Vivek Sinha also shared that he has been received messages relentlessly from fans and people, seeking financial help from him. He added, “I would’ve loved to financially help people, but I don’t have that kind of money to begin with. Whatever I’ve received for Dhurandhar is all gone.”

On a concluding note, the actor said that he hopes to get more work in near future, so that he can provide assistance to everyone who reaches out to him. “Now when I get a new film offer, I will try to help once I receive remuneration for that. And trust me, I have no problem helping people if it’s good money being offered,” he said.

Before Dhurandhar, Vivek had worked in projects like Delhi Crime season 3 and Taandav, among others.
